J.L - A.L
_J.L - A.L_ is the brainchild of emerging London-based designer Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle. The label is one of the most eye-catching developments within avant-garde technical menswear. Jean-Luc's route into design was unconventional. After initially taking a sewing course and then teaching himself pattern-making skills, the designer spent time during the UK lockdown learning a software that creates dynamic, real-life visualisations of garments. Using digital technology provides J.L - A.L with immediacy. His unique design process rapidly evolves experimental ideas into looks that can continually be developed. The end result presents wearable silhouettes enhanced by innovative details and highly functional textiles, producing a sleek contemporary aesthetic. With J.L - A.L's first collection having only launched in 2020, his reputation is growing rapidly as he continues to garner attention within the industry.
